CONTRACT MANAGER - EU

POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Contract Manager with a background in wholesale telecommunications to manage, review, and negotiate contracts with our clients and vendors. The successful candidate will ensure contracts align with company policies, legal standards, and industry regulations. This role will lead and manage various compliance initiatives. This role requires someone who is fluent in English and has a strong understanding of telecom infrastructure, including network agreements, interconnectivity arrangements, along with commercial agreements with business clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Negotiation: Lead negotiations with clients and vendors to secure advantageous terms, focusing on operational efficiency, relationship building, and cost control.
  • Contract Management: Review and negotiate various contracts and agreements, including wholesale carrier agreements and client agreements.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Sales, Legal, Finance, and Operations, to align on contract terms and pricing models.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with contractual commitments, relevant telecom regulations and internal policies. Identify and mitigate potential risks within contracts to safeguard the company’s interests.
  • Documentation & Record-Keeping: Maintain organized, accurate records of contracts, amendments, and related documentation within the contract management system for easy access and audit readiness.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track contract performance, terms, and compliance, ensuring milestones are met and any deviations are promptly addressed.
  • Industry Awareness: Keep updated on best practices in wholesale telecom to proactively optimize service agreements.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of contract management experience in the telecommunications industry, specifically in wholesale telecom.
  • Education: College degree in Business, Law, Telecommunications, or a related field. Certifications related to Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM) may be advantageous.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with telecom infrastructure, wholesale pricing structures, carrier networks, and regulatory compliance in telecom markets.
  • Skills:
    • Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficiency in contract management systems and MS Office Suite.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for articulating complex terms and negotiating effectively.
  • Personal Attributes: Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently and collaboratively, while managing multiple contracts simultaneously.

EXPERIENCE

  • Experience creating technical content aimed at internal and external users of Web-based SAAS application. 
  • Experience with Business Process Mapping Notation or similar frameworks for documenting business processes 
  • IT and or telecommunications experience a plus 
  • Experience producing documentation in an Agile environment. 
  • Experience developing or defining a style guide, which is also listed above under responsibilities. 
  • Extensive experience with documentation tools, including:
    • Microsoft Office suite including Visio 
    • Adobe Technical Communications Suite (Framemaker and Robohelp) 
  • Experience with SharePoint content management using Wiki, Document libraries, and metadata management.
