GLOBAL SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT
POSITION SUMMARY
The Global Solutions Architect leads the technical design of solutions and supports the Sales Team to create and validate technical solutions to address customers’ business challenges. The role includes evaluating customer Request for Proposals (RFPs), collaborating with internal teams and external partners to develop and author comprehensive design solutions, and leading the implementation of Advantage services.
THE ROLE
- Collaborate with the Sales Team to design, author and/or validate technical solutions for customers, covering areas such as:
- Underlay and Overlay Networks
- Local Area Networks (LAN) / Wide Area Networks (WAN)
- Secure Edge / Network Security
- Cloud Infrastructure (Public, Private, Virtual Private) & Migration Strategies
- Prepare, author, present, and validate technical designs with clarity and precision.
- Evaluate RFPs brought by the Sales Team and assess Advantage’s ability to meet the requirements outlined in each request.
- Author clear, concise, and persuasive communications that convey proposed solutions, including features, and benefits.
- Understand the full portfolio of Advantage services and match features and functions to client needs.
- Executive articulation of the differentiators of Advantage's solutions in comparison to competitors.
- Coordinate with Project Managers to oversee flawless implementation of business efforts including but not limited to Sales Orders, Provisioning, Installation, Migration, Cutover, and Go Live
- Present designs and solutions to clients with authority and expertise, instilling confidence in proposed solutions.
- Design technical solutions that meet technological requirements and deliver tangible business value.
- Author and communicate the executive business benefits of proposed solutions, such as:
- Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)
- Return on Investment (ROI)
Skills & Requirements:
- Proven experience in designing and implementing complex network and cloud solutions.
- Strong understanding of Underlay and Overlay networks, LAN, WAN, and Cloud technologies.
- Experience working on RFPs and collaborating with sales teams to craft individualized solutions.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to author and present technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Solid understanding of hard and soft business principles, including TCO and ROI.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 10+ years’ experience in a customer facing role.
- Relevant Certifications preferred.
- Comprehensive experience designing and implementing networking and cloud strategies for enterprise customers.
- Familiarity with Unified Communications, Cloud Contact Center, and CX Agents (Conversational AI) a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
- Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time.
- Must have the ability to travel.
EXPERIENCE
- Experience creating technical content aimed at internal and external users of Web-based SAAS application.
- Experience with Business Process Mapping Notation or similar frameworks for documenting business processes
- IT and or telecommunications experience a plus
- Experience producing documentation in an Agile environment.
- Experience developing or defining a style guide, which is also listed above under responsibilities.
- Extensive experience with documentation tools, including:
- Microsoft Office suite including Visio
- Adobe Technical Communications Suite (Framemaker and Robohelp)
- Experience with SharePoint content management using Wiki, Document libraries, and metadata management.

Compensation:
Advantage provides salary & benefits commensurate with experience and achievement. The compensation range for this role is an annual salary of $140,000-160,000.
